PATS Team
Pat Jenkins
At the age of 9 it was discovered that I had scoliosis (curvature of the spine).
The Pilates exercise method helped me to realign my spine, improve my posture, increase
my flexibility and strengthen my abdominal and back muscles to support my spine.
I am a Level 4 Lower Back Pain Specialist and have been teaching health and fitness exercise programmes for 20 years.
I hold many qualifications including Level 3 Mat Based Pilates,
Senior Pilates and Back-Care Pilates, GP Referral Award,
PEA Cert in Exercise & Health, Ante and Post Natal and Falls Prevention.
I was especially proud to receive the Lifetime GP Referral Award in 2004 and I receive
referrals for Pilates instruction from many medical practitioners. This aspect of
our work ensures that Pilates is not seen simply as a fashionable fad for the rich
in the locality but can also be a 'life changing' experience for all participants.
Anyone can embrace the Pilates method when taught safely and effectively by a certified
instructor. At PATS Pilates all instructors have a strong understanding of anatomy
and the Pilates method.
All instructors at PATS Pilates are qualified Level 3 Matwork Pilates instructors,
Level 4 Low Back Pain Specialist and are registered on REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals).
