"Pull up, pull in & breathe"

I came to PATS Pilates in November 2012 having just had surgery to remove part of a slipped disc. Pilates was recommended to me by the physio I saw following my operation and I stumbled upon PATS whilst carrying out an Internet search for a teacher. I had my initial consultation with Pat and from that I decided to have personal training sessions. As I had recently had back surgery, I was fairly nervous to begin with but it didn't take long for me to get comfortable with the basic movements and to sign up to a group class as well. I have been doing Pilates for about a year and a half now and I am genuinely surprised by the amount of progress I have made and the impact Pilates has had on my other fitness goals. Training with PATS has improved my core strength, flexibility and posture no end. I went for a 6 mile run this morning which is something I thought I would not be able to do again following the operation that I had. In short, I don't think I can recommend Pat, her team or their teaching methods enough and I think everyone who is in any way curious as to what is involved should give it a try.
