Prenatal Pilates Class
Starts 12.00pm - 12.45pm Saturday 19th January
Prenatal Pilates exercises is a bodily activity that improves or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness. Attending a weekly Pilates exercise class and with the support and guidance of a qualified Pilates Prenatal Instructor during pregnancy can help throughout your pregnancy and even help prepare your body for labour and delivery.
The Pre-Natal Pilates class will include:
- Pilates breathing techniques
- Posture
- Strengthening the muscles of the:
- pelvic floors
- abdominals
- muscles around the spine
- back
- You will leave the class feeling relaxed
Some of the benefits from exercise during pregnancy you may experience:
- Helps reduce backaches, constipation, bloating, and swelling
- May help prevent, or treat, gestational diabetes
- Increases your energy
- Improves your mood
- Improves your posture
- Promotes muscle tone, strength, and endurance
- Helps you sleep better
- Regular activity also helps keep you fit during pregnancy and may improve your ability to cope with labour. T
- Pilates can make it easier for you to get back in shape after your baby is born.
