Prenatal Pilates Class

Starts 12.00pm - 12.45pm Saturday 19th January

Prenatal Pilates exercises is a bodily activity that improves or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness. Attending a weekly Pilates exercise class and with the support and guidance of a qualified Pilates Prenatal Instructor during pregnancy can help throughout your pregnancy and even help prepare your body for labour and delivery.

The Pre-Natal Pilates class will include:

  • Pilates breathing techniques
  • Posture
  • Strengthening the muscles of the:
    1. pelvic floors
    2. abdominals
    3. muscles around the spine
    4. back
  • You will leave the class feeling relaxed

Some of the benefits from exercise during pregnancy you may experience:

  • Helps reduce backaches, constipation, bloating, and swelling
  • May help prevent, or treat, gestational diabetes
  • Increases your energy
  • Improves your mood
  • Improves your posture
  • Promotes muscle tone, strength, and endurance
  • Helps you sleep better
  • Regular activity also helps keep you fit during pregnancy and may improve your ability to cope with labour. T
