All our Pilates classes/sessions are held at PATS PILATES Studio in Milton Keynes. The classes/sessions are lead by qualified experienced Level 3 Pilates instructors. All the instructors were trained by Pilates Advanced Training School who view our Studio as their Pilates home.

The Pilates class focuses on building your body's core strength and improving your posture through a series of low repetition, low impact stretching and conditioning exercises. The Pilates class aims are to increase your core strength (back, abdominals and pelvic floor), improve your flexibility and agility and at the same time tone the muscles of your body.
6-Week Beginner Course
The 6 week beginners Pilates course is for those totally new to Pilates or exercise. Learn the basics Pilates principles in a small group class. Begin to develop core strength and build muscle tone. We provide a supportive environment to gain movement confidence.
Building on the basic Pilates principles this class will enable you to become proficient in the Pilates method. The Pilates exercise will help foster movement re-patterning to improve function and promote feelings of comfort and ease.
Mat / Equipment Pilates
Studio classes use special equipment with straps, springs and pulleys to facilitate muscle lengthening and strengthening. All equipment has adjustable resistance, which helps you to reform muscular imbalances, tone, strengthen and lengthen the body without adding bulk. This class is an effective, non-impact stretching and toning session that is safe and fun.
One to One
Private Pilates sessions are designed to deliver individualised instruction based upon your body’s fitness needs, goals and schedule. Clients may choose to do the entire workout on the mat or on the specialised Pilates equipment. Private lessons are extremely beneficial for those new to exercise, pre and post-surgery/rehabilitation.
This class is specifically tailored to suit those with back issues. The aim of the class is strengthening core muscles and gently stretching the back muscles. The class goal is to explore Pilates postures that help recovery from back conditions. Guidance in maintaining a healthy spine is provided weekly.
Put a youthful spring in your step! Age doesn’t matter when you feel fit. The class is performed at a slower and steady pace, focusing on balance, co-ordination, strength, flexibility, stamina and posture. It is perfect for those returning to exercise or perhaps have not exercised. We provide a supportive environment to gain movement confidence.
Pre & Post Natal
Whether you are pregnant or have recently given birth, pre- and postnatal Pilates exercises can be beneficial before, during and after. All exercises are adapted according to the needs of the mum-to-be, whether they are accustomed and unaccustomed to exercise.
Pilates for children works to develop motor skills, improve concentration and encourages motion through all planes of movement. The addition of Pilates into your child’s exercise regime will help them to develop their movement skill and will work along side their existing activity/sports to help reduce injury.
This class use a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like Pilates and Yoga. The barre is used as an aid to balance while doing exercises that focus on flexibility and strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles).
Yoga means to unite - it is a wonderful relationship of the mind, body, breath and spirit. Our aim is to provide a safe and friendly environment where you can explore Yoga postures, understand alignment principles that form the basis of a healthy and safe Yoga practice. You will be introduced to the benefits of breathing practice (pranayama) and how to work and move with the breath.
50:50 Pilates & Yoga Class
The 50:50 class emphasis on safety and stability within each Pilates exercise and Yoga Pose. The 45 minutes Pilates session is followed seamlessly by a 45 minutes Yoga practice. The Pilates sessions encompasses fluid movements which will helps improve your bodies strength and suppleness. The Yoga practice concentrates on asanas (Yoga poses), pranayama (breathing techniques), (dyana) meditation. The 50:50 is a monthly class – 2nd Friday of each month.
During the consultation, we will take an exercise and medical history and current activities will be discussed. The consultation will ascertain your aims, goal/s, lifestyle, current activity, exercise and medical history. This will enable the instructor to advise whether you need a personalise Pilates training programme or prepare you to join a Pilates class.
